Iraq Wants Saddam’s Butt Back From British Soldier

Spoils of war.

A former SAS soldier who took a piece of former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein’s bronze statue, has been told to return the chunk by the country’s government.

However, Iraqi leaders are now claiming that the piece is part of the country’s heritage and have threatened to charge Ely with theft unless he hands back the metal.

SEALs Upset With Obama Over Bin Laden Death

Not the death itself, his actions after the operation was over.

Source:

“I’ve been a Seal for 30 years and I never heard the words ‘kill mission’. It’s a fantasy word. If it was a kill mission you don’t need Seal Team 6; you need a box of hand grenades.”

He said the men were angry with President Barack Obama for announcing Bin Laden’s death on TV just hours after they completed the mission on May 1.

“There isn’t a politician in the world who could resist trying to take credit for getting Bin Laden but it devalued the ‘intel’ and gave time for every other Al-Qaeda leader to scurry to another bolthole,” he said.

“The men who did this and their valorous act deserve better. It’s a pretty shabby way to treat these guys.”

As I outlined on my show, it was shady the way everyone heaped praise on politicians who had nothing to do with the operation.  It was the military and intelligence services that deserved all the credit.  Not Obama, and not Bush.

Ron Paul Wants To Offer ‘Friendship’ To Iran

Just one more notch in the ‘he is not qualified to be Commander-In-Chief’ argument.  His economic policy would limit him to Secretary of the Interior.

You mean like the friendship we offered when we were going to give them nuclear energy for free?  That friendship was rebuffed in favor of their own program which made it easier for their nuclear ambitions.

Don’t get me wrong, overreacting and going to war is not the answer.  But to lead the most powerful nation on earth, you better have a better stance on Iran than Obama did when he became president.

At some point, ignorant feel-good politicians have to realize that you can’t be friends with those who’ve sworn to destroy you.
