Really? And the reason they haven’t started paying more yet is why? Oh yeah, no one’s forced them to.
What this poll is really saying is that 20% are willing to raise other people’s taxes to pay down the deficit. Why is it that the people who are willing to pay more in taxes never voluntarily do? There is a program that allows you to do that.
What I found so interesting is that government workers and ‘higher income adults’ were more likely to support raising taxes in this poll. One look at union protests around the country will tell you that government workers aren’t really talking about themselves. That, or they will end up making the same anyway because of step increases.
Again I ask, why haven’t any of the higher tax supporters voluntarily paid more to help reduce the deficit?
